Job overview

We are looking for a public health focused nurse, midwife or other healthcare professional to join our friendly and supportive team in BLMK, this role will work predominantly in the Milton Keynes team and work across  Milton Keynes and Bedford schools.

Main duties of the job

Delivering immunisations across Milton Keynes and Bedford (BLMK wide when needed)  to children and young people in schools and to all age groups in community clinics.

We are passionate about protecting children and young people's health through vaccination.

We welcome applications from health professionals who are passionate about public health, have an interest in learning and development, and can bring an agile, flexible approach to the role.

The role will require the successful candidates to travel and so you must hold a full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Essential criteria
  • Registered Healthcare Professional who can administer vaccines under a PGD
  • Hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business puposes with a willingness to travel for work
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of SystmOne and other immunisation recording systems
  • Evidence of Post-Registration Continuing Professional Development
  • Knowledge of the UK vaccination schedule
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of effective team working
