Job overview
We are recruiting for an Audiology Administrator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
As an Administrator you will work under direct or indirect supervision providing administration support to the service.
Often working independently, you will work with the administration team to help book appointments, check patients in and take telephone calls.
You may have to contact other departments in the Hospital including the Ear, Nose and Throat Secretaries, Central Appointments, the Speech and Language team and other Audiology departments.

Main duties of the job
Dealing with incoming referrals, ensuring information is added appropriately to the relevant system
Booking appointments into clinics as directed by the clinician.
Sending relevant communications to patients about their appointment (letter, text system)
Checking patients in for the appointment and providing any relevant information prior to or after their appointment
Booking any follow up appointments as required
Managing enquiries received via email and ensuring each is dealt with appropriately.

Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a health care environment.
- Previous IT skills, including use of Mircosoft Office
- Experience working with various stakeholders
- Experience of dealing with patients
- Proficient in email use
- Experience using a patient or client management system
Desirable criteria
- Experience using Lorenzo.
Skills/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills, verbal & written
- Able to work in a busy & pressurized environment
- Able to manage own workload without supervision
- Able to multi-task
