At the heart of everything we do are our core values: Include, Respect, and Improve. We encourage you to embrace these values throughout the recruitment process and in your role with us.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will identify, assess, plan, implement and continuously evaluate the care of a defined group of patients, within the unit, in partnership with the child and family, ensuring that the highest standards of care are delivered to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of each child and their family, facilitating a return to optimal health.

You will also ensure that due regard and respect are given to the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of children and their families.

The post holder will promote an environment that reflects the psychosocial and developmental needs of children and young people, in terms of play, recreational facilities and educational provision. Ensuring specific provision for those with special needs.

You will be courteous and helpful to all patients and visitors in the ward/department and act to safeguard and protect children/young people at all times.
