Job overview
We are recruiting for a Database Administration- Hepatology who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Hepatology Team at the East and North Herts NHS Trust for a 12-month period based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The post involves working alongside the Liver Specialist Nurses, Consultants and PA's to support the hepatology team to fulfil the national requirement for a robust Liver Surveillance registry.
The EoE Cancer Alliances have worked collaboratively with Eclipse and the NHS Cancer Programme National Team to create a live interactive database to support the LSP across the EoE Region by creating additional functionality into Eclipse database.

Main duties of the job
The Database Administration will identify patients that should be on the LSP that are not currently listed, including those that have failed to attend and / or are lost to follow-up.
To populate the mandatory field template in relation to the Eclipse portal to ensure the named patient has been added to the portal with all relevant details.
To work with the hepatobiliary service to ensure all patients that should be listed on the LSP registry are added appropriately.
The successful candidate will have the ability to access local hospital patient administration systems and data to identify appropriate patients.
To add newly identified patients to LSP as identified by the local service.
To contact patients that are lost to follow-up or disengaged with LSP and support them back into the surveillance programme.

- Diploma or equivalent and /or relevant research experience.

- Graduate qualification
- Relevant training courses in clinical research
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in clinical trial administration including data management.

- Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
- Experience of staff supervision.
Knowledge

- Knowledge of the clinical trials process.
- Familiar with GCP guidelines/EU directives.

- Understanding of medical terminology.
