Job overview

We are recruiting for a Gynaecology Practice Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We are  looking for a permanent member of our expanded team at the East and North Herts NHS Trust and we are looking to recruit another Gynaecology Nurse Practitioners to join our team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the Gynaecology Nurse Practitioner team to support Gynaecology Outpatient Services ensuring the delivery of high quality and safe care to women attending the Early Pregnancy and Emergency Gynaecology Units as well as offering specialist inpatient support to Gynaecology patients receiving care in the ward setting. 

You will work autonomously to provide and implement care for women in accordance with agreed policies and guidelines.

The successful candidate will provide a holistic assessment of women attending the Gynaecology Outpatient Services.

You will take responsibility for making differential diagnosis within level of competence. Plan and provide specialist treatment in collaboration with others as appropriate

You will provide specialist advice and information to women and their families as well as to junior members of the nursing and medical staff.

You will also play a key role in developing the Gynaecology Specialist Nursing service with the support of the Lead Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Specialists and the Clinical Service Manager and the Matron for Gynaecology.
