Job overview

We are recruiting for a Housekeeper who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

You will be responsible for the provision of a high quality service by meeting and greeting visitors to the ward. You will support the ward manager and the ward clinical team in ensuring a customer friendly approach is used in interactions with patients and stakeholders.

You will also support the general running of the ward by being involved in general organisation.

Main duties of the job

Serve meals and beverages to patients throughout the shift with care and attentiveness.

Manage ordering and restocking of ward supplies to ensure availability at all times.

Maintain cleanliness and efficient operation of the kitchen area.

Communicate effectively with patients and their relatives regarding nutritional requirements, demonstrating an understanding of patients’ dietary needs and health conditions.

  • Ability to work closely with all grades of staff.

  • Previous employment within the NHS within a hospital environment or hotel industry.
