Here at  East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust,

Our mission is:
Providing high-quality, compassionate care for our communities

Our vision to 2030 is:
To be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service

Job overview

We are recruiting for a Specialist Radiographer CT who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

You will possess good CT experience and a desire to impart their skills and knowledge to other radiographers in the team. You are based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage and will perform a range of CT examinations and participate in a cross-site rota with our sister site at the new QEII Hospital, Welwyn Garden City.

In addition to the general and emergency CT workload, there are cardiac CT scanning lists on our newly installed Siemens Force and a monthly CT cryotheraphy list.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly, energetic department. There is a strong culture of teamwork and staff development, with CPD being actively encouraged and supported.

Below is what members of our teams had to say about the Radiology department:

"A lovely place to work with a great team spirit"

"A very caring and very diverse and multicultural department who will make anyone who starts to work here feel very welcome"

"We all work together as a team and help each other as much as we can"

At the heart of everything we do are our core values: Include, Respect, and Improve. We encourage you to embrace these values throughout the recruitment process and in your role with us.

Main duties of the job

The Trust currently has 5 CT scanners (Siemens and Canon).

The department also has CR/DR systems, integrated with Carestream PACS and encompass a comprehensive range of equipment including DR general and dental rooms, flat plate interventional room, CT, MRI, Breast Imaging, DXA Scanning, Nuclear Medicine, flat plate image intensifiers and a wide range of Ultrasound services.

There is also a dedicated recovery area for interventional cases in Radiology.

The successful candidate will take part in a 7-day working shift pattern

Working for our organisation
