We seek a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our friendly team. 

This role is for Secondment cover until the 8th November 2026 (fixed term).

You’ll be making a real difference to your patients every single day  - delivering outstanding community care as a valued member of the  Discharge Home to Assess Team and fellow community therapy services.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for full time applications.

The service runs 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm at weekends. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the weekend working Rota.

The service covers both North and East Hertfordshire and the post holder may be expected at times to cover across localities.

You must hold a full valid driving licence and have access to a car to use regularly for business purposes are essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Working within a multi-disciplinary team of health and social care professionals, providing support for clinical care to patients closer to home as part of the patient pathway from the acute sector through to discharge.

To provide support and treatment for patients within their own homes providing appropriate aspects of exercise, activity and treatment programmes which may be prescribed by a clinician, with the aim of rehabilitation and optimising potential. 

To carry out non-clinical activities which facilitate the efficient running of the team (e.g. clerical support).

Essential Criteria

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level III or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of working in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Experience of working in NHS and/or in the Community
Desirable criteria
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined in the Equality Act 2010)
  • Able to travel to a variety of locations across East & North Hertfordshire.
  • To be able to work under pressure and be flexible.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment in the community e.g. Hoist, Toileting Equipment.
