Appley ward is a 28 bedded medical ward with a focus on Respiratory medicine and diabetes.

You will support registered nursing staff in the provision of clinical care to the patients on Appley Ward. 

There will be some housekeeping tasks e.g., preparation of drinks, breakfasts, cleaning etc

Assist the patient in all activities of daily living, with both direct and indirect supervision as delegated by a registered nurse. 

Maintain patient comfort, dignity and privacy at all times. 

Prepare patients drinks, serve meals, and provide assistance as required. 

Assist in the emergency resuscitation of patients, following appropriate training.

Escort patients to other areas and departments as per Trust escort protocol. 

Maintain high standards of care in an environment which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals.
