Job overview

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our Inpatient HCOOP therapy team at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, Kent.

This role provides a great opportunity for a Physiotherapist with a high level of skill and experience to step into a clinical team leader role within a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy support workers. The post-holder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, nursing and Therapy site leadership to ensure patients on our acute HCOOP wards are provided with Physiotherapy assessment and input according to their needs and will take an active role in complex problem solving and discharge planning for the caseload.

The Band 7 role also provides senior respiratory physiotherapy treatment to patients, supervision and training for junior staff and participates in the out of hours respiratory Physiotherapy on call service.

Main duties of the job

This post holder will lead, develop and evaluate HCOOP Physiotherapy services at WHH hospital.

They will provide therapeutic clinical expertise, high quality advice and support to the multi-disciplinary team.  Clinical supervision, appraisal and teaching will be key components of this role.

They will demonstrate excellent communication and collaborative working, along with other clinical specialists across the Health Economy, in order to provide a high quality, efficient service.

In conjunction with the Site Lead they will ensure clinical governance targets are met, including the development of clinical standards and protocols, specialist evidence based practice, audit, research, clinical and non-clinical risk management.
