This fantastic opportunity is for a CBT Psychotherapist or Psychologist in East Kent (based in Ashford) who will be responsible for the delivery of evidenced based psychological therapies in the Psychosis pathway of At-Risk Mental State (ARMS) & Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Services.
The successful candidates will be responsible for offering high quality assessment and intervention (including CBT/CBTp and family interventions) to young people entering the service. Case consultation and joint working with staff in the multi-professional team will also be an expectation.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must hold a postgraduate Qualification in CBT/Psychology, and hold HCPC registration, and have experience of working with people with mental health problems.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job To participate in the provision of psychological services to people aged 14-35 years with an At Risk Mental State and the psychosis pathway for EIP.
- To be responsible for the systematic provision of Psychological therapies and lead HCP interventions for service users care
- To undertake high quality direct and indirect specialist NICE compliant interventions
- To strengthen the MDT's therapeutic capacity & work effectively with teams.
To deliver an effective service it is essential that you are able to travel between bases and home visits in a timely manner.

The Service
The At Risk Mental State Service (ARMS) is a recently established multi-professional service that provides comprehensive assessment and formulation for people aged 14 to 35 years who are at ultra-high risk of developing psychosis. It works alongside the EIP Service.
The ARMS service works collaboratively with other service providers including ChYPS, Substance Misuse Services and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) services (Live Well Kent and Medway, MIND) and the 18-25 pathway for young people. This not only allows quick easy access to treatment but enhances support for the delivery of the psychosocial offer to young people in schools, colleges, universities and local communities.
