Vaccination & Immunisation Coordinator
12 month Fixed term contract

Bromley Healthcare are hosting the employment of a Vaccination & Immunisation Co-Ordinator for the South East London ICS/One Bromley.
The post holder will support the local commissioning of nationally defined immunisation programmes for an assigned geographical patch area.
The post holder will work to deliver the NHS EI London Immunisation Strategies in synergy with primary contracts and local stakeholders . She/he will be expected to travel across the borough and SEL ICS as part of the day-to-day role and will work collaboratively with a wide range of external stakeholders. A key outcome of this role in each borough is to improve uptake of immunisation, both childhood and adult.

Main duties of the job

- Identify and work with local practices on data recording for vaccinations.
• Work on call/recall with local practices.
• Develop practice reports for monitoring of uptake rates of vaccination services and providing guidance of how to improve these.
• Improve competencies of practice staff on vaccination services and increase confidence levels.
• To attend professional network meetings in the area
• Develop and Implement healthcare professional initiatives that are required for the local area.
• Share good practices with extended stakeholders
• Provide quarterly reports to Immunisation Performance and Quality Boards

- Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification or management experience or Knowledge acquired through experience or training.
- Evidence of continued professional development

- Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence for a senior audience
- Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes
- Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment
- Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures relevant to own field
- Experience or working knowledge of the NHS organisational environment
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Ability to analyse complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources
- Ability to apply advanced influencing and negotiation skills necessary to achieve successful outcomes, e.g. when working with directors, senior managers and staff representatives
