Bromley Healthcare - Care at Home is recruiting a driver to join our team of drivers who drive our carers to service users. We support service users in their day-to-day lives, enabling them to live more fulfilling lives whilst helping them remain in their own homes by providing high-quality person-centred care, supporting the service user to undertake, a wide range of care needs, taking into account their individual personality and lifestyle choices

Main duties of the job

Driver - Bromley & Bexley areas - Ad hoc shifts

£12.21 per hour

Please note this a "bank" (zero hours role) where the driver will need to be available to work in the London boroughs of Bromley & Bexley with Weekend availability.
 

Bromley Healthcare is a social enterprise, which works with the NHS to provide high-quality healthcare services for people in Bromley and beyond.  One of the services we provide across the London Borough of Bromley and Bexley is domiciliary care services, including Personal Homecare services and Domestic Housekeeping services.

This role involves driving care workers around the North Kent area of Bromley and Bexley. 

The post holder must hold a valid current clean driver's licence and is expected to undertake a sight test and a driving assessment before driving Bromley Healthcare's vehicles. 

You will have access to a company car and you will be expected to be available to work weekday evenings and alternate weekends.

This role will involve contact with members of the public, and a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as Criminal Records Bureau) check will be required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

1. To drive safely, keeping in mind any risks such as poor weather conditions, to transport
carers between visits. 
2. Ensure the Bromley Healthcare vehicle is in a clean and fit condition (without apparent 
defects) before setting off on any journeys.
3. To ensure the vehicle is safely secured every evening.
4. To ensure the vehicle is cleaned regularly.
5. To interact with staff and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
