We are currently looking for Bank Community Staff Nurses to join our dynamic, friendly team who are patient focused and thrive on providing quality care.
This role is predominantly to provide a vaccination service to housebound patients in the borough of Bromley, following the completion of the vaccination programme then this role could evolve into a community nurse role.

Main duties of the job
Main duties of this role are to provide vaccinations to housebound patients in the Bromley borough.
Below relates to if and when you end up carrying out standard community nurses duties
As a Community Nurse you will deal with a variety of patients in their own homes, the role will involve but is not limited to:
- Responsibility for contributing to the holistic assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care.
- Implementing, monitoring and maintaining our high standards of care.
- Re-assessing and re-evaluating programmes of care when needed.
- Supporting our in-house mentorship training scheme with placement students and staff.
- Being an active member of the team sharing best practice whenever possible.
This is a challenging but ultimately rewarding position where you will be supported both within your teams and by regular reflection & professional training.
Please note that all Community Nursing roles are designated essential car users therefore applicants should have a current driving licence and access to a vehicle to be considered for this position.

- Experience of writing accurate records
- Evidence of provision of high standards of clinical care.
- Valid Driving Licence and the use of a vehicle for work purposes and the ability to use a ‘satnav’.
Desirable criteria
- Teaching and assessing skills.
- Care of older people.
- Experience in administration of drugs or be willing to attend study days
- Knowledge of standard setting/clinical audit.
- Community experience/ Community placement
Professional Registration

- Current NMC Registration
Training
Essential criteria
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Preparation for mentorship/ENB 998/equivalent or willing to undertake.

Specific Skills
Essential criteria
- Good knowledge basic clinical skills including wound care and assessment, catheters, medication admin, end of life care.
- Able to document clinical records/findings correctly, within the NMC guidelines
- Awareness of current government and nursing healthcare policy and legislation
- Ability to undertake holistic patient assessments, implement appropriate nursing care and treatment and evaluate outcomes.
- A willingness to develop clinical skills and assess and set care plans for the MDT
Desirable criteria
- Awareness of CCG targets and priorities.
- Commitment to clinical supervision.
- Good knowledge of end of life care
- Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
- Understanding of RCA
