Job overview
Performs transthoracic Electrocardiography, (TTE) using manual dexterity and precision, exercising specialist judgemental skills when acquiring images.
To produce a full, accurate and comprehensive clinical reports independently for each study, which will directly affect patient care and/or management. Responsibility for own caseload.
Responsible along with the other Band 7 Physiologist for the operational responsibility of the department on a day to day basis. This includes a clinical workload (i.e. performing and/or reporting on all the non-invasive tests) as well as day to day supervision of the junior staff.
To take a leading role in staff development and training as required.

Will conduct Appraisals with the other Band 7 physiologist for other members of the Department.
To initiate and participate in clinical audit within the department and to use the results to improve quality of service.
To be a specialist in Electrocardiography, etc. to develop competence in clinical supervision and be able to act as clinical supervisor where necessary.

- Works independently
Desirable criteria
- Previous cardiac diagnostic experience

- Has BSE accreditation
- Has at least 2-3 years experience at senior level
