To provide a comprehensive nutrition and dietetics service in the Acute & Community settings including in-patient visits, outpatient clinics and clinics in General Practice, provided within available resources.  This post will have a particular commitment to working within the specialities of surgery / HDU and will provide some cover for ITU/PN service.

Job Summary

We need an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Band 6 Dietitian. This post offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the friendly Nutrition & Dietetics Department for Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust. The post will involve providing a comprehensive nutrition and dietetics service in the acute setting to the specialties of surgery/HDU and you may also be required to run an outpatient clinic. You will be actively involved in supporting Band 5 Dietitians, Dietetic Support Workers and clinical placements of student Dietitians. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, confident and highly motivated individual to this post.   This is a role for a Dietitian looking to move in to their first senior role and develop skills within the field of complex nutrition support in acute adult medicine.

  • Registered Dietitian by HCPC
  • Minimum of 18 months post-graduate experience in general Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Evidence of relevant post graduate clinical education
  • Trained in facilitated learning for undergraduate placements
  • Motivated to maintain continuing professional development
