Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a well organised, experienced and friendly team member to provide administrative support to the Medway Maternity Infant feeding team. We are an externally funded, dynamic team providing exceptional levels of support to our families facing difficult and sometimes complex feeding journeys. We work within a multidisciplinary including maternity, neonatal and health visiting. We are funded by Medway Council and provide ongoing data and statistics of the work we do to them on a quarterly basis, alongside reporting to the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative to support our units level 3 accreditation. The role will require both initiative, high organisation skills and the ability to work with multiple considerations to effectively fulfil the responsibilities expected.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative support to the infant feeding team to include:
· Updating and maintaining team spreadsheets
· Managing antenatal education patient bookings
· Handling telephone enquiries
· Liaising with other teams including community and ward staff
· Monitoring generic email and actioning appropriately
· Sending Feedback survey forms
· Managing pump loan administration
· Distribution of antenatal education attendance lists
· Creation and management of antenatal education whatsapp groups
· Manage and update infant feeding padlet resource
· Manage/order stock items for team
· Manage/maintain breast pump log
· Where necessary, work patterns, actions, and schedules are adapted to meet the needs of clients and other members of the team
· Establish and maintain relationships with other members of staff
· Assist in helping promote Quality of Care and maintaining standards in the Department
Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level (including Maths and English)
- Administration NVQ kevel 2 or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous administrative experience
- Previous experience working with members of the public
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience working within the NHS
Skills
Essential criteria
- Digital skills to include Microsoft Office
- Data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of ability to be organised, reliable and work independently
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
