The Children’s Therapies team in North West Kent has exciting opportunities for dynamic and enthusiastic Band 5
The posts are suitable for NQPs. There will be opportunities for the successful candidate to work on a rotational basis

Main duties of the job
As a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist you will:
• Help us deliver ‘The Balanced System’®, working with schools and settings to provide Specialist, Targeted and
• Provide assessment (formal and informal as appropriate), plan and implement therapy interventions for groups and/or
• Modify the interventions and programmes as appropriate, to meet the needs of individual children, young people and
• Deliver standardised training packages as part of a package of intervention.
• Work with key colleagues (ie Education and Health) in order to support multi agency models of service delivery.
• Participate in reflective practice and on-going learning in order to continually improve the service offered by
• Be committed to continually improving the patient experience by engaging in regular patient feedback mechanisms and

- Registered Healthcare Professional with relevant Professional body (Speech & Language Therapist/ HCPC)
Experience

- Experience of recent community/acute healthcare gained through education or work experience placement or previous employment
Knowledge

- Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS
Skills and Abilities

- Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
