Main duties of the job
- Complete the daily shift plan in the agreed time scale, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in line with new NHS
- Cleaning Guidelines.
- Cleaning is carried out in accordance with recognised approved Trust methods/procedures.
- To participate in the Cleanliness in Hospitals Programme.
- To complete departmental performance monitoring weekly, to achieve and maintain the Trust standard.
- To ensure waste is disposed of in accordance with the Trust waste disposal policy, assuring Health and Safety
standards are adhered to.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Candidates must have previous cleaning experience, basic knowledge of National Cleaning Standards, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is essential due to the importance of the post holder being able to understand and communicate handover information.
The ability to work without direct supervision is also super important.
NHS experience is not essential, so please do apply if you feel your skills and experience align with our requirements.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
