Job overview
Endoscopy is a safe, compassionate service. We are person centred, committed to provide excellent, specialist care, alleviating fear and providing support for diagnosis.
You would be joining the team at an exciting time after receiving national acclaim for clearing the post Covid back log and becoming compliant with waiting lists standards.
We are now looking forward to implementing agreed phase two of service development plan over the next 12 months which the general manager for Endoscopy will lead.
The post holder will support the service in their work with the Care Groups to ensure the safe and effective delivery of all patient services within the service. This involves achievement of all operational performance targets, including access, finance, and quality. The post holder will assist the Head of Operations with the provision of timely, efficient and effective general management support ensuring that a responsive, innovative service is provided to the highest possible standards, in line with Trust Strategy.
Main duties of the job
Phase 2 will include the implementation of our approved business cases for the introduction of Transnasal Endoscopy, Colon Capsule Endoscopy and Sponge Capsule services to the Endoscopy portfolio and steering the service to achieve JAG compliance.
The post holder will work in a Trust-wide capacity under the direction of the Head of Operations and will represent them at meetings as necessary and appropriate. Integrated Care System - Provider Collaboration: Kent and Medway Integrated Care System:
Role Specific Responsibilities
§ To assist the Head of Operations in ensuring that all performance targets are met, and support the Head of Operations to develop and implement sustainable solutions in conjunction with clinical and managerial colleagues across the Care Group.
§ To be responsible for ensuring the operational delivery of services; leading and effectively implementing change management initiatives to improve service provision.
§ To influence the strategic development and service improvement within the agreed portfolio, in conjunction with the senior leadership team for the care group.
§ To lead and deliver strategic development and service improvement as required.
§ To be responsible for ensuring that within all specific work areas all local and national performance targets and objectives are met.
§ Responsible for management of resources (human resources, estate, financial) as agreed with the Head of Operations.

- Experience working across networks and wide range of stakeholders
