Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Women's Health Gynaecology team for an MDM Co-ordinator/Pathway   We are looking for someone highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic to join our team. 

You will be responsible for the smooth and effective running of both service specific MDM's as well as have direct involvement in progressing patients through their pathways. 

It is essential that you are highly organised, have the ability to prioritise your workload and can work well under pressure. Applicants must have a keen eye for detail and possess a willingness to learn.

PLEASE NOTE - WE CANNOT OFFER VISA SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE. If you hold a Graduate/Post Study work visa, you will only be able to work this role fixed term until the expiry date of your visa.

Main duties of the job

·         To attend MDM meetings (face to face/Teams) to accurately record meeting outcomes. To ensure preparation for MDM’s is completed is a timely manner ie preparing agendas, ensuring notes are available if needed.

·         To type accurately as required and to be responsible for achieving the 5-day turnaround.  The typing of referrals and correspondence, to GP’s, patients and Consultants with regards to MDT outcomes and calls within time limits set by departmental standards, thus requiring a high degree of keyboard skills, medical terminology and secretarial procedures.  This will sometimes involve typing letters of a distressing nature.·         Validate and manage patient pathways in line with Patient Access Policy standards.·         Act as one of the first points of contact on behalf of the Gynaecology Service and deal effectively and courteously with all enquiries from GPs, patients, other departments within the Trust and all other departments.  Assessing all enquires, deal with effectively and respond appropriately.

·         To process both incoming and outgoing mail, dealing with all correspondence in an appropriate and timely manner.  Ensuring any urgent correspondence (i.e. patient referrals, emails, etc.) are dealt with immediately and that where necessary the patient is contacted directly with regard to urgent clinic appointments.
