The Children’s Therapies Team is an integrated therapies team providing Speech and Language Therapy,
Main duties of the job
- To be part of a Link Therapy Team delivering the principles of Balanced System® to a cohort of primary &
secondary schools. - To jointly manage a caseload of schools/children as part of the Link Therapy Team.
- To deliver evidence-based SLT advice, training and interventions for schools and children.
- To assess, plan and implement universal, targeted and specialist SLT interventions that support children with
a range of speech, language and communication needs. - To develop integrated care plans in partnership with the school, child, young person and / or family
recommending and supporting interventions that are appropriate at a universal, targeted and specialist level. - To participate in clinical supervision and access on-going CPD to deliver a safe and effective service to
schools. - To actively work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to provide high quality advice,
training and interventions to schools, children and young people and their parents/carers in line with our care pathways and the Balanced System®
