Neurorehabilitation Service Lead

£59,490 - £66,239 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata

This is a full time role but part time candidates will be considered

An exceptional opportunity awaits an experienced neuro therapist to lead our established community Neurorehabilitation Service in Bromley.

Our service fosters a supportive and collaborative environment, providing comprehensive neurorehabilitation across the borough. This is a key role leading a multidisciplinary team comprising physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, rehab assistants, and neuropsychiatry.

As the operational and clinical lead, you will join our supportive leadership team to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality care and maintain our focus on positive patient outcomes. A key aspect of this role will be supporting the professional growth and development of our dedicated staff, identifying their training needs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will also have opportunities to further develop and refine your own leadership skills through mentorship, training, and involvement in division-wide initiatives. Your responsibilities will include leading and monitoring service performance, and driving quality improvement initiatives in line with local and national standards.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Community Neurorehabilitation Team, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care.

  • Line manage a multidisciplinary team and support staff development through supervision, training, and appraisals.

  • Oversee patient flow and service performance, meeting key targets and driving continuous quality improvement.

  • Manage a complex clinical caseload and support complex decision-making across the team.

  • Lead service audits, ensure CQC compliance, and contribute to clinical governance and risk management.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve patient pathways and integrated care.

  • Represent the service at local and regional meetings, sharing best practice and influencing strategy.

  • Support workforce planning, service redesign, and implementation of innovations aligned with national guidance.

Essential criteria
  • Recognised OT/PT/SLT Qualification
  • Evidence of continuous and current professional and academic development relevant to clinical field
  • Management/leadership training
  • Experience at senior level within rehabilitation services
  • Ability to provide professional and clinical leadership and motivation to be high level of expertise.
  • Able to evidence recent experience of forging key relationships with key external stakeholders
  • Able to evidence ability to project manage/implement quality improvement initiative
  • Fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
Desirable criteria
  • Member of a specialist interest group
