Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy State registration with Health and Care Professions Council
Desirable criteria
- Post Graduate training relevant to Paediatric Occupational Therapy
Experience
Essential criteria
- Documented evidence of continued professional development; Appropriate experience working as a clinician for a minimum of two years; Documented evidence of provision of training to colleagues or other professional staff.
Desirable criteria
- Experience working with children and young people with complex needs; Appropriate experience working as a clinician for a minimum of three years; Experience supervising junior staff and students.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of educational settings; Understanding of statutory assessment process and EHCP provision; Understanding of universally available programmes to schools
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with children and young people with neurodiversity
Skills and abilities
Essential criteria
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; IT skills
