Main duties of the job

Could you use your skills and experience to support the NHS to deliver great patient care? Great patient care needs great people to support clinical teams. That’s where you come in.

Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • A Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3. This could be an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship, BTEC or equivalent international qualification in healthcare. Or you will be able to demonstrate the equivalent level of experience.
  • Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C/ 4-9 or equivalent in English and Maths)

Experience

Essential criteria
  • You’ll need to have recent experience of team working and versatility to take on a variety of tasks.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases.
  • You will need to have a customer focussed approach which is essential to; Provide patients, clients and their families with the best possible experience, represent the Trust when talking to and working with patients, colleagues and visitors. Work together with colleagues and other teams across the Trust
  • You will need to be able to remain professional, work well under pressure and organise your own work without direct supervision.
Desirable criteria
  • Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage.

Working environment

Essential criteria
  • A full, valid driving licence and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role. Should you require reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010, we are committed to supporting you to meet the mobility requirements of the role wherever possible.
