Are you a physiotherapist looking to further develop your skills and knowledge in an intermediate care setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic, friendly and successful rehab team on Foxbury ward for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on a senior physiotherapist role working within a well established and well- led Multidisciplinary team . The post holder will work closely with a provide support to band 5 therapists, rehab assistants, apprentices, AHP students and nursing colleagues to deliver a high quality of rehabilitation and discharge planning for patients transitioning from acute hospital to home. 

Foxbury ward is well regarded for providing excellent clinical care that is evidence based, safe, effective , caring, well-led and responsive to our patient's needs. We provide a supportive and nurturing environment that ensures our patients receive the right level of support required on discharge to enable them to regain independence and confidence in their own homes. You will be well supported by senior staff with regular supervisions and inservice training available.

Main duties of the job

Foxbury ward is a 30 bedded intermediate care rehabilitation unit. The post holder will promote independence in patients utilising rehabilitation and enablement interventions, working collaboratively with a vast range of key health and social care teams and services spanning across primary, community and secondary care; as well as voluntary and public sector providers, to ensure the successful delivery of intermediate care pathways in Bromley. 

The role will incorporate completing complex assessment and treatment plans, developing and leading group education and treatment, and physiotherapy service development. The post primarily involves working with elderly patients and their families with a focus on goal orientated discharge planning.
