Job overview

We’re looking for someone: 

  • To work as a member of the CTT who undertake highly skilled and specific therapy programmes to children in schools, at the Orchards centre and in other community locations. 
  • To implement treatment programmes for children on the speech and language therapy caseload and /or occupational therapy caseload who require therapy to be delivered by telephone, virtual (video) or face to face. 
  • To combine programmes for speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy as required. 
  • To run sessions independently and with other members of the CTT. 
  • To  provide appropriate advice to families, carers and school staff in a variety of settings and feedback to the appropriate therapists. 

Main duties of the job

This role is predominantly to work with children in early years (2yrs +) and early primary school years. Often working with non-speaking children who may have developmental delays, challenging behaviour and/or children being assessed for neurodivergent conditions.

 You will be required to travel between the clinic, nurseries and schools and must be able to do so in a timely manner. 

 This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. 

 We are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and vulnerable adults. 

 All appointments will be subject to a six-month probationary period.
