If you answered yes, we’ve got the perfect role for you!

We are looking for a qualified physiotherapist, occupational therapist or podiatrist who has a passion for working within children's services as a team lead overviewing the physical therapy team. The physical therapy team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Technical Instructors and our Special Needs Nursery staff. The team is part of a wider Multi-Disciplinary team providing services to children across the Medway locality. 

 

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will ensure their team is appropriately staffed with suitably skilled employees and that staff are made available to deliver services across all clinical pathways. The post holder will effectively lead this team to develop services offered, manage waiting times and budgets and liaise with local agencies.

 

The post holder will also ensure all required data is provided as required both around outputs and outcomes.

 

The post holder will be responsible for first line management of sickness, capability and disciplinary issues.

 

The post holder will retain clinical expertise in their own profession.

Essential criteria
  • Degree level qualification in Physical Therapy Role e.g. Physiotherapy
Desirable criteria
  • Masters qualification or course attendance

Experience

Essential criteria
  • 7 years Post graduate experience in a health setting
Desirable criteria
  • Experience leading a team

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Good communication skills and ability to manage challenging situations
Desirable criteria
  • Ability to evoke change and support staff through the change
