Job overview
East Kent University NHS Foundation Trust EKUFT has an exciting and challenging new role within the pharmacy department and requires an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our dynamic and lively department. The post holder will be based at William Harvey Hospital and will supply medications to service users across the Trust.
Dispensing duties will include dispensing in-patient and outpatient prescriptions and assisting in the sale of pharmacy medicines.
No previous experience in Pharmacy is required as full in house training will be given.
We are looking for applicants who are eager to learn, able to organize and prioritize their own work to meet deadlines, and able to work using their own initiative. Whilst applicants should ideally have an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services, those without will be expected to enrol and will be supported to work towards this qualification.

Main duties of the job
Provide rotational pharmacy assistant support to all pharmacy areas across all sites within EKHUFT. To rotate into all pharmacy areas across all sites as required by the needs of the service. Pharmacy assistants will only rotate into areas where competent or inducted with a training competency package for that area.
