The department is a friendly and supportive environment that provides it's staff the opportunity to succeed in their goals; we are committed to supporting CPD and encourage role development. Both departments are busy diagnostic hubs delivering high quality imaging for an acute Trust.

Posts have become available based in our departments at Tunbridge and Maidstone Hospitals . We provide imaging services over seven days across our hospitals and CDC satellite sites.

Base sites will be discussed at interview.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a caring, dynamic, experienced, motivated radiographer who will suggest and encourage ideas, to join our team. If you have a commitment to outstanding care, quality and have an interest in developing your leadership skills then our senior team could be for you.

You will be a radiographer with significant post qualification experience, the majority of which will be  in UK healthcare. CT experience is essential. 

You will be required to deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer.

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC Registration
  • CPD evidence
Desirable criteria
  • In possession of or working towards undertaking a postgraduate qualification.
  • IV cannulation course

Experience/Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Significant demonstrable post qualification experience
  • Competence in a wide range of CT/ interventional scans.
  • A sound knowledge of departmental/other hospital protocols and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills liaising with staff internally and externally.
  • Ability to receive and analyse sensitive/ contentious, complex, information and respond in a rapid and appropriate fashion
  • Decision making skills
  • Ability to rapidly assess patient personality and respond appropriately
  • Good knowledge of IRMER and IRR
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of workloads in a busy CT department.

  • Ability to deliver excellent CT skills and patient care
  • Good computer skills.
