Doctor's Assistant

Band 3

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Support Worker to apply for a Band 3 Doctor's Assistant role. We are looking for highly motivated staff to join our very busy surgical team.

The role will sit within the Surgical Directorate, located in the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) located at the Trust's Tunbridge Wells site, however there may be a requirement to travel to the Maidstone site. The post-holders will be supported to achieve their competencies to fulfill the requirements of the role.

You will carry our duties working alongside the medical and nursing staff to ensure a high quality of patient centered care is delivered.

On completion of competencies, the role will include assisting medical staff with clerical jobs including compiling test results.

To work with the clinicians and provide high quality support gathering information as appropriate and/or requested (e.d diagnostic bloods in preparation for review), ensuring any appropriate tests are booked / undertaken, following up any appointments

Good communication skills towards patients and colleagues and ability to organise allocated work is an essential component of this post.
