Maternity Education Clerk

Job overview

We are seeking a Maternity Education clerk for a fixed term period of 18 months,  The post-holder will fulfil a key supportive role, providing comprehensive day-to-day support and administration to the Maternity Education Team, and on occasion, the clinical ward areas. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE WILL NOT BE SPONSORED. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK independently, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Main duties of the job

They will have strong digital skills, and will utilise these skills to track, monitor and report on mandatory training compliance for the Multi-disciplinary Maternity team, in line with National Maternity Guidance and Trust requirements.

The post-holder will be expected to use their own initiative, and proven excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, to help ensure that the team operate both efficiently and productively, to ensure delivery of the Maternity Mandatory Education programme.

The post-holder will need both excellent literacy and strong numeracy skills to support the team’s administrative workload and will be expected to assist with a wide range of duties, supporting all members of the Maternity Education Team, and answering queries from the wider Maternity workforce.

Education and Training

Essential criteria
  • • GCSE’s / equivalent at Grade C or above in English and Maths
  • • Good all round education
Desirable criteria
  • • IT/Digital Skills training

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • • Able to work on own initiative where appropriate.
  • • Proven skills in IT with a good knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
Desirable criteria
  • • Ability to produce reports from data gathered on projects
  • • Ability to use and maintain databases

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Previous clerical, admin or reception experience
