Staff Nurse - Paediatrics - Band 5 - Permanent - 25 Hours

We are a purpose-built unit that provides both inpatient and day patient care, for children and young people up to 16 years old and support them through transition to adults. We care for a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Our aim is for you to join us in providing the highest possible standards of holistic family centred care. The unit prides itself on working collaboratively with the MDT.

We have an ambulatory model of care within paediatrics, and we are constantly developing and improving our paediatric services to meet the needs of the area. We have a 24-hour observation and assessment unit, and you will work in both the ward, day surgery and observation and assessment areas

Main duties of the job

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within sphere of responsibility.

To assist in the management and organisation of work in the clinical area.

To always act in a manner consistent with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct carrying out his/her duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
