We have exciting opportunities for motivated and experienced NMC Registered Midwives to join our friendly and passionate team to work in our Maternity department, as we continue to develop our maternity service.

 

We are looking for knowledgeable and confident midwives to join us in this dynamic environment where you will work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate individualised care - making a real difference to families and services.

Main duties of the job

The primary aim of the role is to ensure that women and their families receive high quality personalised and safe care based around their individual choices and needs. 

The midwife will plan, deliver, and evaluate the care of women and their families in the antenatal period within the maternity assessments and ensure there is seamless transition and continuity throughout her pregnancy pathway. The role will also support the promotion of public health initiatives that reflect the needs of the local population.

Experience

  • Post registration experience of NHS Midwifery
  • Experience of working in all areas of maternity services, with significant antenatal experience.
  • Experience of mentoring students
Desirable criteria
  • Participation in audit

Skills

  • Demonstrates leadership skills
  • Demonstrates understanding of role boundaries and able to recognise when to escalate
  • Ability to co-ordinate & liaise within a multi-disciplinary team
