Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Diagnostic Collaborative Portfolio as the Business Support Manager. The Diagnostic Collaborative team work across the Provider Collaborative with the 4 acute provider organisations to deliver transformation and improvement programmes for Imaging, Endoscopy, Physiological Sciences and Community Diagnostics.
You will work within a small core team who work with a wide range of stakeholders such as clinical and non-clinical acute provider colleagues, ICB colleagues and the NHS England regional diagnostics team
The successful candidate will need to be motivated, hard-working and have a can-do attitude. You will display excellent organisational and communication skills, and demonstrate strong leadership qualities to be able to effectively support the team.
Main duties of the job
The role will be directly reporting to the Diagnostics Collaborative Portfolio Director and support a wide range of business and admin functions such as preparation and provision of papers, small projects, and collation of assurance return to NHSE.
The role will be expected to support the line management functions with efficient use of Healthroster and/or ESR to record staffing work patterns, sickness absence and annual leave and training and development.
You will provide support to the efficient use of invoice and ordering systems, ensuring excellent record keeping. You will support the provision of newsletters/ business cases and provide support for document management systems for the wider portfolio.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
- To manage all administrative functions within the programme management team, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support the Programme Leads, by developing and assisting with the implementation of both long- and short-term business plans to meet local, regional and national agendas

The post holder will communicate with a wide range of stakeholders across the provider collaborative (system) at service level and at executive board level.

The post holder will lead the delivery of specific projects, with oversight from programme leads as required.

The post holder will be responsible for collation of national returns and reporting to regional NHSE teams, Provider Collaborative and ICB commissioning teams

The post holder will be responsible for delivery of short-term projects, drafting of reports and / or board papers and work/business plans.

The post holder will be responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the programme information and document management system.
- The role will require the development of and monitoring of project plans against milestones using project management software
