Join our dynamic CYPMH team in LSCFT to make a real impact on the lives of children and young people. We're seeking an innovative Clinical Lead to pave the way in our new Access Hub.

Would you like to play a pivotal role in developing a high-quality service that enhances the mental health and well-being of children, young people, and their caregivers?

If so, you'll collaborate with the Team Leader and the Service Manager to cultivate a supportive, patient-centric environment. You'll ensure clinical competence among staff and lead service developments while implementing the safeguarding agenda.

Main duties of the job

You will provide professional and clinical leadership to the Access Hub, supporting staff in continuous professional development whilst contributing to fulfilling locality clinical objectives and CQC standards.

With your expertise, we're set to deliver an integrated Thrive model, revolutionising the service and transforming the lives of young people.

You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred service and foster strong partnerships with CYPMH, Primary and Urgent Care.

Applications are open to Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists with experience working with young people facing mental health challenges. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) may include weekends, bank holidays and occasional evening shifts and is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree Level or equivalent qualification and/or relevant core professional qualification (NMC, Social Work England or HCPC registered)
  • Information technology skills sufficient to the undertaking of the post.
  • Compliance with regulatory bodies and codes of professional conduct with evidence of continuous CPD

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of current key NHS developments and policies and implications for service delivery
  • Demonstrable Knowledge and skills in evidence based needs led assessments, of highly complex and co-morbid presentations of children, young people, their families and carers or that are transferable to children and young people. .
  • Advanced knowledge of Children & Young People mental health conditions, evidence based therapeutic interventions and treatments relevant to the needs of this client group.
  • Good knowledge of legislation, acts and developments relevant to the field of child related work.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of extensive professional clinical knowledge, skill and experience
  • Experience of partnership working across a range of agencies and professional boundaries
  • Experience of effectively working with service users and carers
  • Experience of clinical /professional supervision in a children and young people’s mental healthcare setting.
