Job overview

To work as senior nurse supporting the delivery of safe, evidenced based nursing care within CDU; and supporting the ward manager in the delivery of key performance and quality measures.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Substantial post registration experience at band 5
  • Leadership / management experience
  • Experience of caring for a acutely sick / deteriorating patient
  • Teaching and assessing learners in practice experience
  • Positive 'can do' attitude to problem solving
Desirable criteria
  • 2 years AE / MAU / Assessment area experience
  • ILS / ALS provider
  • Investigation Clinical incidents and PSIAs
  • Leading a team of staff
  • Band 6 Bridging the gap development program

Qualifications and Registration

Essential criteria
  • NMC Registered Nurse (BSc / Dip)
Desirable criteria
  • Leadership qualification
  • ILS / ALS
