Job overview

Team Leader for Radiography covering General X-ray, Fluoroscopy and Interventional.  Band 7 role.

  • To take day to day responsibility for the leadership of a diverse staff group, including senior and specialist radiographers, radiographers, assistant practitioners, assistants and porters.
  • To take day to day responsibility for the organisational delivery of the plain film radiography services, including mobiles and theatre, to patients attending from ED, GP’s, wards and out patients.
  • To be an autonomous practitioner using advanced and highly specialised skills and knowledge in the delivery of a high quality radiographic services across the general radiology department.
  • To work closely with the Lead Radiographer and Operational Business Manager to make sure of equity of access to relevant supervision and the achievement of competencies required for the maintenance of HCPC registration of team members.
  • To teach, develop and educate team members to ensure service needs are met.
