Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the therapy team working across our community bed bases in Bolton supporting with patient transport.
The role will involve driving the therapy van to facilitate discharges, as well as the therapy assistant duties when required by the service. The post holder will be expected to work a 7 day roster.
We have a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and training. If you are successful you will be supported to develop professionally as well as provided with regular supervision to support your development and well being.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the wider multi disciplinary team you will work alongside and support specialist therapy staff in transporting patients to and from destinations.
The purpose of this role is to support the therapist(s) to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
The main duties include preparing the vehicle for use and transporting patients to and from hospital, our bedded units and home of choice. You will also support patients with access.
You will undertake therapy assistant duties as required by the service, under the guidance of therapy staff, and undertake administrative tasks related to the workload.

- GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
- NVQ or equivalent level of knowledge
