Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Nurse/Practitioner (Registered) to join our award winning team! The post will involve coordinating a portfolio of research studies across different clinical specialties, and is ideal for individuals with experience of working in a busy research environment who wish to further develop their skills and experience. 

Band: 5, 37.5 hours, 12 Month Contract. 

Main duties of the job

Previous experience of NHS research would be beneficial for this role along with knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and basic clinical skills. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential and a flexible working approach is a key element to this role.

The successful candidate will be supported by a hardworking and motivated team of research nurses, practitioners and CTAs. Training and career development opportunities are available to the suitable candidate, in this friendly and dynamic department which strives for excellence in delivering first class research and patient care.

The successful applicant will work on a variety of NIHR academic and commercial studies alongside the multidisciplinary team, and will support the care of patients enrolled onto research trials.

  • Educated to Degree level or Equivalent
  • Registered Nurse / AHP / Practitioner
Desirable criteria
  • CGP Completed

Experience

  • Experience of working with patients in a clinical environment
  • Experience of working in a Research Environment

  • Experience of working in a clinical research role

Skills

  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Basic Clinical Skills including Venepuncture
