Job overview
We are excited to be able to advertise for a Team Lead within the Central & West Network for our Talking Therapies Team in Kendal, based at Murley Moss.
This is an exciting opportunity for an appropriately qualified and experienced practitioner to consolidate and expand upon their management skills. We are looking for a highly motivated, pro-active individual who is looking for their next challenge. We are looking for applicants with substantial experience of working within the field of mental health and significant knowledge and experience of working within a Talking Therapies service.
You will have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering high quality therapeutic services and have excellent interpersonal qualities; time management skills; an ability to work autonomously and in a team; experience of providing formal managerial supervision / mentorship to clinical staff, and an enthusiasm for working in an ever-developing Talking Therapies service. The post-holder will work alongside the Operational and Clinical leadership team, providing support to the Service Manager and Clinicians alike within the respective team. You will have the support of a Deputy along with a Senior PWP. The post-holder will need to be available to work 37.5hrs/week Monday-Friday. There will be an expectation of Hybrid work from base and home
Main duties of the job
To provide first line management for Talking Therapies Team/s in a designated geographical locality within services delivered by Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will lead and be accountable for the day-to-day operational management, performance and budgetary responsibility for Talking Therapies service Central & West Network as delegated by the Service Manager.
The post holder will deliver clinical interventions and clinical supervision.
The post holder will support the Service Manager by providing leadership to the service to deliver a high quality and high performing clinical service.
The post holder will work with the Service Manager to ensure effective operational arrangements; line management and clinical supervision are in place within the team. The post holder will establish strong working relationships with providers and commissioners, other healthcare service providers, the Local Authority and providers within the 3rd sector.
To support the delivery of clinical governance, quality improvement and performance management agenda within an identified locality team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Core MH Profession i.e. RMN, SW, OT
- or Qualification in an IAPT specific intervention i.e. CBT, Counselling, PWP with accreditation where appropriate
- Registration/Membership of professional body
- Degree in health related area or equivalent experience Evidence of continued professional development
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Detailed understanding of the key performance indicators in Talking Therapies services and how they relate to clinical practice
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive experience in and knowledge of Talking Therapies national and local service requirements and an ability to develop the service to reflect the requirements
- Experience of delivering a Talking Therapies service
- Undertaking assessments, risk management and the planning and delivery of Talking Therapies compliant clinical interventions
