Intelligence Manager

Band 8a

Trosolwg o'r swydd

NHS Greater Manchester is leading nationally in the use of data to improve population health, reduce health inequalities and to transform care for our patients.

We are looking for an Intelligence Manager to join our Data, Insight and Intelligence (DII) function, working within the Primary Care team to transforming health outcomes for our population through data-driven decision-making. Working closely with Primary Care leaders, commissioners, clinicians, operational teams and system partners, you will provide strategic insight and actionable intelligence that supports service improvement, population health management and delivery of NHS priorities.

Primary Care is an exciting and growing area of analysis, supporting General Practice, Community Pharmacy, Dentistry and Optometry as the “front-door” of the NHS where over 90% of patient contacts are seen every day.

A large focus of the role will be utilising patient level General Practice data to provide insight and intelligence of the demographics and health and care needs of 3.3 million people registered with a Greater Manchester practice – joining an award winning and nationally recognised team at the cutting edge of population health analysis.

Join us and help shape the future of Primary Care through insight, innovation and intelligence.

Our NHS People Promise

Our NHS People Promise –the promise we must all make to each other, to work together to improve the experience of working in the NHS for everyone. Like many other employers, NHS GM currently has evidence of unwarranted inequalities in the workforce, most notably in relation to minoritised ethnic, female and\or disabled staff and their intersectionality. As a result, we will use positive action measures to bring benefits to our organisation, including a wider pool of talented, skilled and experienced people from which to recruit and a better understanding of the needs of a more diverse range of customers.
