Job overview
Applications invited for an Administrator to provide secretarial and administration support to trusts Reducing Restrictive Practices (RRP) Team.
The post holder will have a range of administrative duties with the delivery of day-to-day activities including electronic diary management, arranging meetings, assisting with minute taking and data collection / reporting.
The post holder must be a good team player and also have the ability to work on their own initiative and be able to communicate with staff, service users and carers in a professional way, and be computer literate with proficient Microsoft Office skills.
The post holder will coordinate their activities with the RRP Senior Nurse Manager, to ensure an efficient and confidential service.
The post-holder will work in line with the Trust’s objectives and be expected to make a positive contribution to the provision of Health and Wellbeing Services across the local health economy. All posts are subject to the nationally agreed Agenda for Change terms and conditions.

Main duties of the job
To assist the Reducing Restrictive Practices (RRP) team in the delivery of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative/secretarial service that promotes excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Delegated responsibility for providing a comprehensive secretarial/administrative service which may include compilation of reports and other correspondence on behalf of the Reducing Restrictive Practices Lead.
To be the point of contact for the Reducing Restrictive Practices team and continually promote the effective and efficient image of the service.
Deal with enquiries, co-ordinating and sending out appropriate information as required and ensuring messages are communicated in a timely manner.
Receive, allocate and despatch internal/external mail in line with the Trust and departmental policy and procedures.
The post holder will be expected to work independently using their own initiative with minimal direct supervision.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English
- NVQ/Diploma level III in Administration or equivalent knowledge & experience
- European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent to evidence competence in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
Knowledge

- Secretarial experience
- Demonstrable experience of working effectively in a high performing office environment undertaking a range of administration duties
- Experience of working with Management/Director level colleagues
Skills

- Able to build effective working relationships at all levels
