Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to lead the Clinical Treatment Team through the transformation process; this will be a 12 month secondment.
The post holder will support staff and clinics arrangements across the Trust’s Lancashire footprint. You will ensure the delivery of safe and responsive services across various physical health and ECT clinics.
Working hours are between Mondays – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 although some flexibility regarding start and finish times may be required.
You should be a registered mental health nurse and be familiar with mental health community and inpatient services and teams. You should have experience of delivering supervision and managing staff. You will have experience of working within a community mental health setting and be familiar with the Trusts mental health community and inpatient services.
The Clinical Treatment Team covers East, North and Central Lancashire which means you will be required to travel to other localities to support if required.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this job is to support the Clinical Treatment Team in delivering a high quality mental health service as described in the Team’s Operational Procedure. This involves managing the CTT staff across areas of the service as agreed with the CTT Matron and Service Manager.
The Team Leader will be responsible for day to day management of the team, providing clinical/management supervision and ensuring the team delivers a safe and responsive service.

Education / Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Mental Health Nurse & relevant post qualifying qualifications.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of current provision of LSCFT Community and inpatient Mental Health Services
- Mental Health Act and relevant legislation. National Mental Health Policy.
- Supervision/Caseload management skills.
- Ability to perceive services and service delivery from a user and carer perspective. Good interpersonal skills.
Experience
Essential criteria
- 3 years post qualifying experience of working with people with mental illness.
- Venepuncture skills or willingness to learn.
- Experience of setting up / facilitating clinics.
- Supervision and management of staff.
Special Requirements
Essential criteria
- Able to travel Trust wide.
- Commitment to Health & Safety Commitment to the Employee/Management Competencies (Flexible working hours, rota work, etc.).
