Job overview

Would you like to work for an organisation who can offer a range of exciting and challenging opportunities for people who are passionate about making a difference to the patient experience?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Compliance and Assurance Team . Our team is responsible for assuring all RTT 18Week standards are analysed and reported accurately in line with national standards.

Our role is to make sure the patient journey is as stress free as possible by providing accurate data to all medical specialities thus ensuring they have all the key information to improve patient treatment times. The way we do this is to track the patient from referral to the final treatment which requires you to analyse and audit patient data, ensure the data is accurate and presented in a clear and concise way for external reporting and escalate any identified issues.

NHS experience is desirable however this is not a prerequisite for the role. You will require knowledge of the RTT 18 week standards and have a keen eye for detail when analysing data. Analysing Patient data is at the forefront of this role and the accuracy of this data directly contributes to the Trusts standards and national standards.

Main duties of the job

The main duty of the role will focus on data analysis and ensuring the team meet the set deadlines for Trust RTT submisison.  As part of the role you will also be required to supervise staff which will include 1-1’s, sickness monitoring, annual leave co-ordination, appraisals and training existing and new members of the Team. Lancashire teaching Hospitals can provide additional training on these skills such as CPMS (Core People Management Skills) and appraisal training. You will also take the lead in team meetings and implement the roll out of team processes when required.

You must be hard working, possess good oral and written communication skills, have good computer skills and be flexible to the needs of the department. You initially will be required to work on- site at Preston Business Centre, which is located 1 mile from RPH, during your training period however there will be opportunity to work remotely as part of the Trust agile working policy once settled into the post.

Working for our organisation

We have 10,000 fantastic people working hard to deliver quality services to our patients.  Whatever your role, you help look after 370,000 people in our local area & give specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria.

Working with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done.  You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills & enhance your career path.

You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold & help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care which means your role is pivotal and something really to be proud of.
