Main duties of the job
As a Service Support Manager, you will:
- Provide management support to divisional colleagues and administrative teams.
- Assist in achieving local and national performance targets, including patient access standards.
- Support the development and implementation of service policies, projects, and strategies.
- Collate and analyse data to drive service improvements.
- Deputise for senior managers when required and represent the service at Trust-wide forums.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support administrative teams, ensuring effective service delivery.
- Managing performance against key targets including RTT, Cancer, Diagnostics and UEC
- Contribute to governance, risk management, and compliance with Trust policies.
- Foster collaborative relationships with clinical and operational colleagues.
- Promote the Trust’s values: Caring and Compassionate, Recognising Individuality, Seeking to Involve, Building Team Spirit, and Taking Personal Responsibility.

Qualifications & Education
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or demonstrable equivalent experience in business administration
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant previous administrative experience
- Proven experience of report writing and analysing data
- Experience of working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and challenging deadlines
- Experience of supervising and supporting colleagues
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of requirements in relation to patient waits
- Experience of presenting reports and data
