•    Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.

Job overview

Lancashire & South Cumbria Foundation Trust recognise and value the importance volunteer support is to us and our patients. We currently have volunteering opportunities supporting our Community Mental Health Teams in Preston, Bamber Bridge, Chorley and Ormskirk. Please mention which location you are applying for in your application.

Main duties of the job

The aim of this role is to provide support to colleagues involved with the delivery of services and other essential activities, as well as providing valuable experience for volunteers. We ask that volunteers commit to at least one 4 hour shift per week, during the normal working hours of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

 

Working for our organisation

Duties may include the following

  • Respond to enquiries in a polite manner and ensuring an appropriate response is initiated.
  • Support staff in dealing with administration requests
  • Photocopy leaflets for distribution
  • Creation of word documents that support team function
  • Taking and delivering messages if required
  • Collation of information packs for colleagues patients and carers, and arranging for them to be sent to out.
  • Help to maintain stocks of items such as leaflets, booklets and posters, including supporting to process deliveries
  • Supporting with social media, such as taking team photographs and uploading to social media platforms
  • Support with completion of Friends and Family (FFT) Tests or other Patient Experience tools
