Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised individual to join our clerical team for 22.5 hours on a permanent basis.
The role involves providing administrative and clerical support to the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service and includes the organisation and monitoring of the office workload.
Working hours are to be Monday 8-4pm Platt Bridge Health Centre, Thursday 9-5pm Wigan Health Centre, Friday 9-5pm Wigan Health Centre. Non-negotiable.
This vacancy may close earlier than the specified closing date if a high volume of suitable applications are received.
The role will require you to work across all areas in the Trust which includes those that are designated as positive and asymptomatic and negative COVID wards.
Evidence of qualifications listed on the person specification will be required and interview and during the onboarding process.
Main duties of the job
- Duties will include manning reception and dealing with telephone enquiries as well as using the SystmOne, Choose and Book, Patient Centre and HIS computer systems to input referrals and manage clinic appointments.
- To provide administrative and clerical support to the physiotherapy service including hydrotherapy.
- Data inputting onto the Patient Centre system
- To participate in the organisation and monitoring of the office workload

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To provide a confidential, administrative and clerical service to the Physiotherapy Service including hydrotherapy
- To carry out general reception duties, including checking in patients, answering the telephone, arranging interpreter services and dealing with routine enquiries etc
- To be responsible for the registration and referring of patient details, including data collection, inputting and data cleansing on computer systems.
- To be responsible for gathering and dealing with referrals.
- To take delegated responsibility for the allocation of physiotherapy appointments for patients referred to the physiotherapy service.

- Minimum of 2 years experience in a secretarial or administrative position
- Experience working in a relevant area
Qualifications

- Good general education
- Basic level qualification in English and Maths

- ECDL qualification or Microsoft/Lotus qualification
