Job overview

The Clinical Fellow will be required to take responsibility with their colleagues in the provision of a full anaesthetic service to the Trust.  

The Clinical Fellow will be responsible to a nominated consultant and the Clinical Director of the department and will be expected to work with consultants to maintain standards, education and develop skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will actively contribute to the delivery of the Anaesthetic service within the directorate and to maintaining a high standard of care. The successful applicant will be expected to play a full part in complying with all aspects of clinical governance.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to be available for such irregular commitments outside normally rostered duties as are essential for continuity of patient care. Participate in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and research activity within the department. Be familiar with and comply with the principles expected by the GMC. Thus, agree to maintain their professional responsibilities, including full and active participation in the trust appraisal process
