Ward A is a busy, 28 bedded elective orthopaedic unit.  We are looking to recruit a part time Health Care Assistant with experience in the hospital setting with the potential possibility of  developing to a Band 3 HCA on completion of training. This role is 24 hours per week and involves working a shift pattern across 7 days Monday - Sunday, including days and nights.

Main duties of the job

The Healthcare Assistant will work as part of the ward team with supervision of registered practitioners to provide effective, safe patient focused care at all times.

Contribute to the development of the care environment with a positive, professional attitude.

Contribute to the maintenance of daily provision of service and care to meet the individual needs of patients and department.

To support the smooth running of the ward and ensure patients, relatives and carers are dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner.

You will ensure that policies and guidelines are adhered to.
